Graduate of the University of Illinois, and performed a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He also completed a fellowship at the University of Edinburgh at the Princess Margaret Rose Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr. Stiehl was an academic professor of orthopaedic trauma surgery and adult reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Stiehl has nearly 30 years of experience in orthopaedic medicine. His practice includes a full range of orthopaedic medicine and surgery. An avid researcher and speaker, he has a special interest in total joint reconstruction. Dr. Stiehl holds two US patents on total joint instrument design and is founder of Blue Orthopaedics, a computer navigation company developing new technologies in total joint replacement surgery.
