St. Mary's Good Samaritan Inc. partners with health care providers in the region to offer a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO).  A PHO is an organization designed to align incentives between physicians, hospitals, employers, and patients. This allows St. Mary's Good Samaritan to reduce the cost of health care and develop better patterns and processes for providing services and medical care. The mission of our PHO is to create a health care delivery system in Southern Illinois that provides and documents superior health care services at competitive costs. The PHO represents managed care and contracting efforts for our hospitals in Centralia and Mt. Vernon.  In addition to these facilities, the PHO also represents Family Health Centers, Work Safety Institutes, physicians, and allied health professionals.  If you would like more information about our PHO, contact Greg Sims at (618) 436-6347.
